Hot Italian Ham & Swiss Sliders
Sep 18th 2025
Buttery, garlicky, slightly tangy, and perfectly melty—these party sliders disappear fast. A drizzle of The Olive Leaf Garlic Olive Oil under the rolls and a savory butter topping with Tuscan Herb Olive Oil soak each bun for big flavor without any fuss. Ideal for game day, tailgates, and weeknights when you’re feeding a crowd.
Ingredients (Makes 32 sliders)
Sliders
- 32 King’s Hawaiian rolls (2 sheets of 16), split horizontally but left connected
- 1½ lb thin-sliced deli ham
- 16 oz thinly sliced baby Swiss cheese
- The Olive Leaf Garlic Olive Oil, for drizzling
Savory Butter Topping
- 5 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 5 Tbsp The Olive Leaf Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
- 4½ tsp deli mustard (Best Boy Bourbon Barrel if you have it)
- 2½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp garlic & herb seasoning (or Italian seasoning)
- 3 tsp poppy seeds
Directions
- Prep. Heat oven to 350°F. Place each roll “bottom” (still connected) into a 9×13 pan (you’ll use two pans). Drizzle the cut sides lightly with Garlic Olive Oil.
- Layer. Cover evenly with all the ham, then all the Swiss. Top with the roll “lids.”
- Mix the topping. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, Tuscan Herb Olive Oil, mustard, Worcestershire, seasoning, and poppy seeds.
- Soak & bake. Spoon or brush the mixture over the roll tops, making sure every surface is coated. Bake 16–19 minutes, until hot through and lightly browned.
- Serve. Rest 2 minutes, then cut apart and serve warm.
Make-Ahead & Reheat
- Assemble up to 6 hours ahead; cover and refrigerate. Bake 20–24 minutes, loosely tented with foil for the first 10 minutes.
- Reheat leftovers at 325°F for 8–10 minutes.
Serve With
Honey Ginger Coleslaw, Dill-Roasted Asparagus, or a simple green salad.
