About the name: In 1818, a group of settlers from Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Virginia were so impressed with a “haven of blooms” that they decided to settle there, and called it Bloomington. Bloomington became a warm, inviting environment that embraced people and ideas from around the globe. Today, Bloomington is a diverse city of learners, dreamers, and doers with a dynamic energy, and spectacular scenery.

-Our Bloomington Chocolate Company 's Johnson's Milk Chocolate Rabbit is a dark milk chocolate, with a strong cocoa flavor and a mellow finish. Not overly "milky" - a classic chocolate taste. About the name: Johnson Creamery was established in Bloomington in 1912 by brothers Ward and Ellis Johnson. Johnson’s produced milk and ice cream and delivered their products by horse-drawn truck well into the 1930’s. Johnson creamery’s historic building with its iconic red brick 120 ft smokestack can still be seen in downtown Bloomington on 7th street.
