Citrus-Mint Balsamic Mojito

Citrus-Mint Balsamic Mojito

Sep 17th 2025

Bright, bubbly, and insanely refreshing—this mojito skips simple syrup and uses The Olive Leaf Citrus-Mint White Balsamic for a clean, sweet-tart finish. It’s faster than the classic (no simmering syrup) and you can pour it zero-proof just as easily.

Ingredients (per drink)

  • 1 oz white rum (omit for mocktail)
  • 2 oz The Olive Leaf Citrus-Mint White Balsamic
  • 1–2 tsp fresh lime juice (to taste)
  • 4–6 fresh mint leaves, plus a sprig for garnish
  • Club soda or ginger beer, chilled (to top)
  • Ice (crushed is best)

Directions

  1. Build. In a tall glass, add rum (if using), Citrus-Mint White Balsamic, and lime juice.
  2. Wake the mint. Add mint leaves and gently press 2–3 times with a muddler or the back of a spoon—just enough to release aroma, not shred.
  3. Finish. Fill the glass with ice and top with club soda (crisper) or ginger beer (spicier). Give a quick stir and garnish with a mint sprig. Taste and adjust with a splash more balsamic for sweetness or extra soda for dilution.

Mocktail: Skip the rum and top with extra soda. It’s bright, minty, and totally party-friendly.

Tips & Swaps

  • Spirit swaps: Try blanco tequila, light rum with a dash of bitters, or gin for a botanical spin.
  • Balsamic twists: Sub Grapefruit, Peach, or Honey-Ginger White Balsamic for a new vibe.
  • Ginger pop: Use ginger beer instead of club soda for a spicy kick.
  • Mint pro tip: Clap the mint between your palms before garnishing to release aroma.
  • Less sweet? Use 1–1½ oz balsamic and add more soda.
  • Crushed ice gives that classic mojito dilution and frosty top.

Pitcher Version (serves 8)

  • 8 oz white rum
  • 16 oz Citrus-Mint White Balsamic
  • Juice of 3–4 limes
  • 2 packed cups mint leaves (lightly bruised)
  • 24–32 oz chilled club soda or ginger beer
  • In a pitcher, combine rum, balsamic, and lime. Add lightly bruised mint and lots of ice. Top with soda just before serving; stir gently. Garnish glasses with mint.

Serve With

Caprese skewers, grilled shrimp, or a big bowl of salty chips—this mojito loves summer snacks.
